What or who inspires you?
The late Larry Levan and Steve "Froggy" Howlett for mixing and remixing, Kool DJ Red Alert and Mike Allen for inspired Hip Hop Radio, Dave Lee, Larry Heard (Mr Fingers) Frankie Knuckles - Disco and Deep House gods! I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with and met them all!

What was the first record you ever bought?
Saturday Night Fever soundtrack - lead me into digging deeper for more underground disco and New York dance music.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would play the lead role as you?
Robert Downey Jr. 

What’s the quirkiest job you’ve ever had?​​​​​​?
Standing in for a top 20 pop star live on stage! in 1988 (It’s true!)

Tell us a couple of amazing facts about you that others might not know?

I had a couple of top 60 hits and a number 1 dance single, plus a top 40 remix and signed lots of chart hits in the late 1980s.
I met and chatted to Suzanne Shaw from Hear’say in the queue for a public toilet!
When I was 7, I cleaned the Lord Mayor of London’s shoes in a competition at Kennington Carnival.

What’s your favourite film?
Studio 54, The story of the legendary NY Club.

What’s your favourite song?
So many and so little time, but - I’m Here Again by Thelma Houston - (Danny Krivit edit), 10 minutes of amazing disco that never leaves my box!

If you had a superpower, what would it be and why?
I’d love to be able to time travel, there are some records I still need! and forgot to pick up back in the day at the right price!

Your favourite place or holiday destination?
Anywhere with a record shop!

Tell us your favourite food?
I love cheese, and anything grilled on a BBQ.
